It seems there are many ways to save a bank. Nationalise it, sell it off for cheap, or get three governments to put up some cash. That's what Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands have done to save Fortis, putting up 11 billion euros to keep it in business. Analysts say it was way too big to fail.
