New Adidas Logo Kicks it like Beckham

German sports giant Adidas has given England and Real Madrid soccer star David Beckham his own logo, modelled on his trademark free kick, as part of his new deal with the company, which sees him extend his contract until 2008. The free kick logo, which shows Beckham preparing to strike, will appear on selected Adidas products that the sportswear firm will announce later this year. Herbert Hainer, chairman and CEO of Adidas, said: "The contract extension and the new logo will strengthen Adidas' leadership in football. Both the Adidas brand and David Beckham are looking forward to expanding our relationship, using the new logo across our business for many years to come."
