Visiting the Romans

September 4, 2013

Archeologist Ulrike Wulf-Rheidt works 30 meters above ground, high over the rooftops of Trier. She's studying the ancient Roman city gate known as the Porta Nigra. The gate is to be restored, starting next year. The Porta Nigra is not only the symbol of the city of Trier; it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
