Nicholson and Curtis win Golden Camera Prize

American film star Jack Nicholson won a top German television and film prize on Wednesday night for his life-long achievements on the silver screen. Accepting the "Golden Camera" prize from German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, Nicholson practiced his German on the crowd of 1,000 celebrities and dignitaries in the Berlin Concert Hall by proclaiming, "Ein Bier, ein Fraulein, und ein Zimmer" – "one Beer, one woman and one room". Fellow Hollywood star, 78-year-old Tony Curtis also received the Golden Camera for his life work in film and television. German star Nicolette Krebitz won the prize for best actress for her role in a television film called "As fast as you can", ("So Schnell Du Kannst") while Michael Mendl won best actor for his portrayal of former German Chancellor Willy Brand in "In the Shadow of Power" ("Im Schatten der Macht"). "The Wonder of Bern" ("Das Wunder von Bern") took the best film award. This was the 39th annual Golden Camera award.
