Poll: Do you trust Facebook and Google to protect your data?

On Tuesday, the European Court of Justice will release a much-anticipated judgment on whether private European data stored on servers in the US are secure. The deciding factor is where the data are stored and processed.

In that regard, big players like Facebook, Google and others prefer to store data in their home countries. As a result, the data are governed by American data privacy regulations - and those regulations are significantly less stringent than those in the European Union. A ruling against Facebook and Google could potentially have huge implications on these companies and European users.
