President Köhler - A portrait

President Köhler's address comes at a time when Germans are asking why financial markets were not subject to more oversight. The government has forecast that the country's economy will contract by 2-point-2 per cent this year, and is expected to revise that estimate soon to almost double that figure. People are looking for a sense of direction from political leaders as the nation confronts the down-turn. Is the German President the man to give them that? Here's more on Horst Köhler.
