Leipzig was and still is a city of music. One of its oldest musical institutions is the world-famous St Thomas Boys Choir, which was led by none other than Johann Sebastian Bach for nearly three decades. Cantor Georg Christoph Biller, the current director of the boys choir, was kind enough to take an afternoon off to show us his favorite places in Leipzig. Our first stop is a heartbreaking place--or at least it was. The Johanna park was commissioned by a banker whose daughter died of a broken heart. We'll visit happier places, too, like the Mendelssohn House and a wonderful restaurant where you can savor the best cheesecake in the city.
