Reemtsma, Kerstin

Kerstin Reemtsma worked for several years as a teacher in the field of German as a foreign language after finishing her studies in the romance languages. In 1989 she moved to Central America. There she worked in public relations and provided training and consulting for refugees and internally displaced persons in Guatemala. She was also a consultant to the government’s commission on internally displaced people. After several years of work for Spanish NGOs she resumed her profession as a teacher and returned to Germany. Initially on a voluntary basis and later professionally, Reemtsma has been the European representative of Peace Brigades International’s Guatemala Project since 2005.
