Famed magician and tiger tamer Roy Horn, still in hospital after being savagely attacked by a 600-pound, 7-year-old, male white tiger during a performance at the Mirage hotel and casino in Las Vegas, is on the road to recovery, apparently largely thanks to daily visits from his beloved French Bull Dog, Piaf. Horn will also no doubt be cheered by the huge greeting card signed by hundreds of residents of Rosenheim, Bavaria, which they'll be presenting to Roy's partner, Siegfried Fischbacher, when he next visits his hometown. That may even be this week, as Siegfried is set to arrive in Germany on Wednesday to pick up a "World Entertainment Award" from former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev. Siegfried and Roy had originally intended to attend the World Awards Gala in Hamburg together, along with a host of international stars including Michael Douglas, the Pet Shop Boys and Placido Domingo.
