Michael Schumacher tore to victory with Ferrari at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on Sunday, producing the fastest race in Formula One history and stretching his lead in the drivers' standings to three points over BMW-Williams' Juan Pablo Montoya, who came in second and helped push the Ferrari racer to the limit. Brazilian Rubens Barrichello finished third. Schumacher clocked an average speed of 247 kilometres per hour over 53 laps in his first win since June, ending a five-race losing streak. This is his fifth win of the season and 50th as a Ferrari driver. "This is one of the best days in my career," he said. "I'm very grateful to the team. The boys have done a great job."
