Scientists in the United States they've cloned human embryos from adult skin cells. If confirmed, the highly controversial procedure could mean the production of patient-specific stem-cell cures for diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The researchers from California used the same technique, as with Dolly the sheep - the world's first cloned mammal. That was 12 years ago. The procedure involves removing the genetic material of a donor egg and replacing it with the D-N-A from other cells.
