Europe's second-largest semiconductor maker on Friday said it would post its second billion euro loss in two years. Berlin-based Infineon posted sales of 5.2 billion euros ($5.26 billion), an 8 percent decrease from the previous year, with a pre-tax and interest loss of 1.14 billion euros for the year through September. The company blamed plunging demand for semi-conductors and memory chips for its eroded revenue. The chipmaker also suffered from falling sales of mobile phone components.
