German Cooking for Beginners is the name of our series this week and in it we're looking at traditional German recipes through the eyes of foreigners who have settled here. This time we'll meet Johanna Altamirano from Nicaragua who chose to learn a Sunday dinner favourite from her adopted home in northern Bavaria - a hearty dish that certainly won't let you go hungry.
