It was a pretty good weekend for Lindsey Vonn. On Saturday, she racked up her 36th downhill victory. Vonn thereby equalled the record held for most downhill career titles set by Annemarie Moser-Proell, coincidentally, 36 years ago.

And the 31-year-old American followed that up on Sunday by claiming the Super G crown. Her time of one minute and 12.75 seconds was 0.7 seconds better than Switzerland's Lara Gut. The title was her 73rd World Cup win, leaving her only 13 shy of Ingemar Stenmark's all-time record of 86.

Vonn attributed her renewed form to taking time off for the Christmas holidays.

"I went home, I had a good break and I feel energized again," Vonn told reporters after the Sunday's race. "I feel really good mentally and physically, and I think that showed in this weekend's racing. It's a perfect start to the New Year. Hopefully I can just continue on in this direction and hopefully just keep winning."

Vonn leads the World Cup super-G standings by 80 points ahead of Austria's Cornelia Huetter. She is also within 38 points of overall World Cup standings leader Gut.
