After a quick rise to fame, Greece's six-man Ekmek are striking back at what they see as the culprits of the crisis.

People have started to complain very loudly about the country's financial policies in Greece. Critics have even started blaming private banks for Greece's financial woes, as in the song "O Trapezitis" (The Banker) by the band Ekmek.

Ekmek was founded in Thessaloniki in 2009 and is comprised of six members: Alekos Spanidis, Sakis Raptopoulos, Stergios Giannos, George Avramidis, Argy Krommydas and Alkis Kanidis.

Word of their dynamic live performances quickly spread and in less than a year the band had signed a deal with a record label. Their breakthrough came with their debut album, "Glykeni ke den pahenei" (Sweet But Not Fattening).

"O Trapezitis" (The Banker)

I'm tired of playing the fool (hey banker)
No matter how fast I run, I don't reach the carrot (you rascal with a tie)
You've snapped up everything for yourself (hey banker)
And still claim I owe you even more (you rascal with a tie)

Hey we've seen through you
Hey who'll help you now
Hey you've even taken our sleep
Hey and you'll even bite the wolf

I always said, violence is no solution (hey banker)
But I'll make an exception for you (you rascal with a tie)
I'll turn your fancy car into a flaming candle (hey banker)
And smash your little villa into little bits (you rascal with a tie)

Hey we've seen through you
Hey who'll help you now
Hey you've even taken our sleep
Hey and you'll even bite the wolf

Hey banker
You rascal with a tie
Hey banker
You rascal with a tie
