What began as a student network at Harvard University has developed into a perfect advertising machine. For businesses, media enterprises and political parties, it's now considered the number one internet marketing platform. The most important instrument is the "like" option, introduced in 2009. With it, the network collects valuable information. Polish researcher Michal Kosinski has studied how extensive this "deep data" really is.
