14/04/09April 14, 2009

Bangkok saw a return to normalcy on Tuesday. Red-shirted protestors, who were demanding Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva’s resignation, called off their protests after the army marched into the capital. Two people died and over 100 were injured on Monday. Four key leaders surrendered and were taken in for interrogation. Meanwhile, a Thai court issued an arrest warrant for fugitive former PM Thaksin Shinawatra and 12 of his supporters for allegedly orchestrating the protests.
