"Plantix" can help professional and amateur gardeners alike to diagnose and treat plant diseases in a matter of seconds. The new German-developed fungus fighter is proving extremely popular.

Fungus-fighting plant app

Hanover start-up Peat has developed an app that enables users to identify fungal attacks and other plant diseases. "Plantix" compares a photo of the ailing plant with the corresponding database. It can now recognize and combat around 60 plant diseases. 30,000 people now use Plantix every month. At the 2017 edition of CeBIT in Hanover, Plantix won the IT trade show's Innovation Award.
