It has the processing power of 65- thousand PCs. And when it boots up on Friday, the new supercomputer from the Jülich research institute, near Cologne, will be the fastest in Europe and 2nd most powerful in the world. Supercomputers can save scientists years of research work by using mathematical models to calculate the results of experiments that would take much longer to conduct in real time. So it's no surprise that researchers are already lining up to be allowed to use the new supercomputer. +++SYN-MAZ+++
