The new "Union for the Mediterranean", is a pet project of French President Nicolas Sarkozý, who's hosting the Paris summit. It brings together all 27 EU members, North African countries, and a number of Middle-eastern states, including Israel. Our correspondent Frank Hofmann travelled to Marseilles, in the south of France - to find out what people there thought about the planned Union.
