The Philippine Massacre: How Safe are Journalists in the Philippines?

After the massacre on the 23rd of November, journalists in the Philippines are demanding a UN inquiry into the incident.

At least 57 people including supporters, journalists and family members of local election contestant Mangudadatu were killed in a rally. The rival Ampatuan clan has been allegedly involved in the killings.

The Philippine government has ordered the replacement of troops in the southern province after they were accused of being involved in the massacre.
