In Malaysia, Muslim clerics have issued several controversial edicts of late. The National Fatwa Council declared yoga un-Islamic, and also “tomboys”, girls who behave or dress like boys. State authorities have followed suit, arresting a well-known blogger for allegedly “insulting Islam”.
