The accident occurred in Wednesday morning's commute in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. A passenger bus crossing over railroad tracks at a crossing was hit by the oncoming train.

"The bus crossed the line as the train came at a high speed," said Nairobi police chief Banson Kibui.

The roads in the city's Eastlands district were crowded during the morning commute at the time of the accident.
