U.S. President Barack Obama has won the Nobel Peace Prize for his calls to reduce the world's stockpile of nuclear weapons and for his efforts to promote world peace. Obama started out his term with the promise to offer an outstretched hand to the Muslim world and to governments openly hostile to American policy. He's also worked to repair America's frayed relations with Russia - and managed to get the country to commit to a reduction in their own nuclear arsenal.
