Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül criticized Europe on Wednesday for not sharing enough intelligence after last month’s car bomb attacks in Istanbul. Both Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan are expected to raise the issue of intelligence sharing at the coming EU summit in Brussels. Gül said Europe had failed "the solidarity test in the fight against terrorism" and warned European leaders that if their countries were attacked "everyone will think twice before cooperating." Travel warnings issued by some European countries as well as visa restrictions on Turkish nationals wishing to travel to Britain have been seen as "Western attempts to isolate the country."
