What to watch out for on Matchday 10

Nagelsmann's first trip to Munich

"Your kit is rubbish," will no doubt be the cry from Hoffenheim fans on Saturday. Bayern will be wearing a kit made out of waste plastic fished out of the oceans.

But the game is no laughing matter for Julian Nagelsmann. He has not even been a first-team coach for a full year yet he has propelled Hoffenheim, who flirted with the relegation zone last term, to third place in the Bundesliga table. But he has yet to face perennial winners Bayern Munich in his short career, a challenge the young coach is surely relishing.

"The key against Bayern is to have confidence in our own performance," said Nagelsmann.

Bayern and Hoffenheim are two of the three unbeaten teams left in the Bundesliga this season. Bayern sit atop the table with seven wins, but with consecutive draws against Cologne and Frankfurt last month, they have proven not to be invincible. On a five-game winning streak themselves, Hoffenheim travel to Munich hoping to be the second team this season to take points off the defending champions at the Allianz Arena.

"Cologne showed us you don't have to leave Munich empty-handed," said Niklas Süle, who scored the winning goal in Hoffenheim's 1-0 win against Hertha Berlin last Sunday. "We will also try to get something out of the game. We are in very good form and want to stay up there where we are."

Aubameyang's return after Champions League suspension

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had to watch Dortmund's midweek victory in the Champions League from the stands after being left out of the squad for "internal reasons". However, Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc insisted the Gabon international will be back with the team when they travel to Hamburg this weekend.

Ironically, Hamburg is the last place they would need their leading goal scorer. The Bundesliga bottom side have scored just two goals this season and are still searching for their first victory. Dortmund are winless in their last four games in the Bundesliga, but should get back to winning ways with their best forward back on the field.

Top scorer showdown in Frankfurt

Anthony Modeste has been magnificent for Cologne, leading the league in scoring with 11 goals. His hat trick last week against Hamburg gave the Billy Goats their fifth win of the season, keeping them near the top of the table.

But this week he will go up against another prolific goal machine, Frankfurt's Alexander Meier. The former league top scorer is expected to make his return after missing Frankfurt's last two games with injury. Four of Frankfurt's league games this term have seen at least three goals scored, which is the perfect platform to see the current and former top goal scorers do what they do best.
