February 15, 2017

After having its doors closed to the public for several weeks, the White House will be resuming tours on March 7.

The presidential residence will have been closed to tourists for almost two months. In recent years non-American tourists have not been permitted to visit the White House.

The tours are traditionally suspended for several weeks during the presidential transition, but usually resumed a few days after the inauguration of the new president.

The current extended pause marks a break with convention on the part of the Trump regime, prompting members of Congress to apply pressure. Senator Charles Grassley tweeted: "When is WH going to be opened for public tours? Mrs G wants to know."
