The most prestigious literature prize for the German language is awarded ahead of the Frankfurt Book Fair. DW looks at the first 10 winners of the prize and those shortlisted for 2015.

The German Book Prize is awarded on Monday, October 12 in Frankfurt, where the major players in the literary world are gathering for the annual Frankfurt Book Fair, which runs from Tuesday through Sunday.
