Naturally there are millions of bitterly disappointed fans here in Germany -- with many a tearful face down at the fan mile here in Berlin. Some 350-thousand people converged on the country's biggest public viewing site to cheer on the team. It was a nail-biting 90 minutes for the fans, with few scoring chances for a nervous German side. As night fell and time ran out, there was an increasing sense of desperation, with supporters clearly stunned when it was all over.
