This quirky German word is not for vegetarians. But meat lovers can't eat this kind of meat either.

Who would have thought that even fruits contain meat? Well, according to the German word for "pulp" they do.

"Fruchtfleisch" literally translates to "fruit flesh" or "fruit meat." And that's not too surprising, given how much Germans love their meat.

But if you think about it, the word actually makes sense. Just as humans and animals have meat under their skin, fruits and vegetables have meat under their peels and shells.

And this "Fruchtfleisch" comes in many more kinds of colors, textures and tastes than regular meat: from sour lemons to juicy oranges, crunchy apples, sweet passion fruit all the way to soft bananas.

So buckle up, dear vegetarians, you are actually eating meat as well - even if it's just fruit meat.
