Dogs have earned an unmovable place in the human heart. That's also the case in Germany, where the pooch to man ratio currently stands at around one to ten. That translates to a staggering eight million four-legged friends, which are fed to the tune of some 1.3 billion euros annually. Columnist Tamsin Walker took a walk through Berlin to find out what this canine love affair is all about.
