Kikundi cha kwanza cha wanajeshi 900 wa Nigeria kwenda nchini Mali kitafika huko katika saa 24 zijazo kama sehemu ya jeshi la Afrika lililopewa uwezo huo na umoja wa mataifa.

Ameongeza kuwa idadi jumla ya wanajeshi watakaopelekwa nchini Mali itakuwa wanajeshi 900, ama 300 zaidi ya waliotangazwa hapo kabla. Kikosi cha kwanza kitajumuisha wanajeshi 190.

Kikosi cha umoja wa Afrika ambacho kilipangwa hapo kabla kupelekwa nchini Mali kitakuwa na wanajeshi 3,300 na kitaongozwa na meja jenerali Shehu Usman Abdulkadir kutoka Nigeria, ambaye aliwahi kuwa mkuu wa maadili ya jeshi na uthamini.

Ufaransa imepeleka mamia ya wanajeshi nchini Mali na kufanya mashambulio kadha ya anga tangu Ijumaa, katika eneo la kaskazini , ambalo lilikamatwa mwaka jana na muungano wa makundi ya Kiislamu yakijumuisha tawi la al-Qaeda katika eneo la kaskazini mwa Afrika pamoja na kundi la MUJWA la nchini Mali pamoja na Ansar Dine.

Duru za kijeshi zimesema Ufaransa inapanga kuongeza jeshi hilo mara tatu kutoka wanajeshi 750 hadi 2,500 , ikiwa ni ishara kuwa nchi hiyo inajitayarisha kwa kampeni ya muda mrefu , katika azma ya kuzuwia wapiganaji wa Kiislamu kusonga mbele.

Wakuu wa majeshi ya mataifa ya Afrika magharibi wameanza mkutano wao leo Jumanne kupanga jinsi ya kulipeleka jeshi hilo.

Benin, Ghana, Niger, Senegal , Burkina Faso na Togo pia zimeahidi kuchangia wanajeshi.

Wakaazi wa Mali wamekuwa na mawazo tofauti kuhusiana na kampeni hii ya kuwaondoa waasi wa Kiislamu katika eneo la kaskazini mwa Mali.

"Wakati waasi wa Kiislamu walipouteka mji wa Konna wiki iliyopita , nilipata hisia mbaya. Mji huo kwa kuwa uko kilometa 70 tu kutoka hapa tulipo".

Rais wa Ufaransa akizungumza wakati akiwa katika kituo cha kijeshi mjini Abu Dhabi amesema hata hivyo kuwa itachukua kiasi wiki moja zaidi kabla ya jeshi la Afrika kukamilika nchini Mali. Na wataalamu wameonya kuwa inaweza kuchukua hata miezi kabla ya jeshi hilo kuweza kufanya operesheni zake.

Serikali ya Ubelgiji imesema itatuma ndege za uchukuzi chapa C-130 Hercules, helikopta mbili za uokozi ili kuyasaidia majeshi ya Ufaransa nchini Mali. Marekani nayo imetangaza kuwa haitapeleka wanajeshi wake nchini Mali lakini inafikiria jinsi ya kuisaidia Ufaransa katika kampeni hiyo dhidi ya waasi wa Kiislamu.

Wakati huo huo waziri wa mambo ya kigeni wa Tunisia amesema leo kuwa nchi yake kimsingi inapinga operesheni zinazofanywa na jeshi kutoka nje ya Afrika katika bara hili, wakati Ufaransa ikiendelea na kampeni yake dhidi ya makundi ya Kiislamu nchini Mali.Rafik Abdelssalem amesema kuwa , "Tunaamini kuwa matatizo yanayotokana na bara la Afrika yanapaswa kutatuliwa ndani ya mfumo wa Kiafrika. Kwa jumla amesema tunapinga majeshi ya kigeni kuingilia kati.
