Kiongozi wa upinzani Morgan Tsvangirai ameueleza uchaguzi huo kuwa ni wa bandia na udanganyifu mkubwa na chama chake cha Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) kimeapa kutokubali matokeo, hali inayozusha hofu ya kurejewa kwa ghasia zilizomwaga damu ambazo zilitokea baada ya uchaguzi wa mwaka 2008.

Katibu mkuu wa Umoja wa Mataifa Ban Ki-moon amezitaka pande zote mbili "kutoa ujumbe wa wazi wa utulivu" kwa wafuasi wao wakati hali ya wasi wasi ikiongezeka.

Jumuiya ya maendeleo kusini mwa Afrika SADC ambayo ina ushawishi mkubwa pia imewataka "Wazimbabwe wote kuwa na uvumilivu,na utulivu."

Macho yote sasa yanaelekezwa kwa chama cha MDC ambacho kilitarajiwa kutoa taarifa yake leo Jumamosi(03.08.2013) kufuatia mkutano wao wa siku mbili.

Kabla ya mkutano huo , afisa wa ngazi ya juu wa MDC Roy Bennett alitoa wito wa kampeni ya upinzani wa chini kwa chini, akiwataka watu "kuifikisha nchi hiyo katika hali ya kutoweza kufanya lolote".

Waangalizi wanaonekana kutofautiana kuhusiana na jinsi uchaguzi huo ulivyoendeshwa.

Mkuu wa ujumbe wa uangalizi wa uchaguzi wa Umoja wa Afrika , Olusegun Obasanjo , amesema muda mfupi baada ya vituo vya kupigia kura kufungwa kuwa uchaguzi huo umekuwa wa "amani , uliofuata utaratibu, huru na wa haki".

SADC imeshindwa kuutangaza uchaguzi huo kuwa wa "haki" lakini imesema ulikuwa " huru na wa amani".

"Tumesema uchaguzi huu ulikuwa huru, kwa hakika ulikuwa huru," amesema kiongozi wa kundi la uangalizi la SADC Bernard Membe. "Hatujasema ulikuwa wa haki... hatukutaka kutoa maamuzi katika wakati huu."

Membe alikutana na Mugabe siku ya Ijumaa, "kumtakia kila la kheri wakati akijitayarisha na hatua ya kuapishwa," aliwaambia baadaye waandishi habari.

SADC ilijadili kuundwa kwa serikali ya kugawana madaraka baada ya uchaguzi uliomwaga damu wa mwaka 2008. Kukiwa na waangalizi 600 katika uchaguzi huo, uamuzi wao na hatua inayofuata itaangaliwa kwa karibu na mataifa ya magharibi ambayo yamekataliwa kuangalia uchaguzi huo.

Hata hivyo wanadiplomasia wa mataifa ya kigeni wameueleza uchaguzi huo kuwa umeendewa kinyume kimsingi na mtandao wa usaidizi wa uchaguzi nchini Zimbabwe umeripoti kuwa zaidi ya wapiga kura milioni moja walizuiwa kupiga kura katika maeneo ambayo ni ngome kuu ya Tvangirai. Lakini imesisitiza kuwa wasi wasi ambao umeelezwa kuhusiana na maeneo fulani ya hatua za uchaguzi yanapaswa kufuatiliwa kupitia njia sahihi za utaratibu wa kisheria.
