Almost 14 years after Germany's reunification, 21 percent of Germans want the Berlin Wall back, according to a survey conducted by the German magazine Stern. What's more, fewer than half -- 27 percent in the east and 41 percent in the west -- are happy with the current political system. Yet few -- 31 percent in the east and 9 percent in the west -- think there was too little money invested in rebuilding the east. More, but still not a majority -- 46 percent in the east and 44 percent in the west -- think the amount spent was appropriate. Despite eastern Germans' dissatisfaction with the current political situation, 57 percent admitted they are personally better off than they were before the Wall fell.
