A new home for chimpanzees in Uganda

Chimpanzees are our closest relatives . But their habitat is being destroyed, for instance, in Uganda. The apes there are falling prey to poachers and are traded illegally. In Asia in particular, demand for them is big. In Uganda's Ngamba Island in Lake Victoria many traumatized chimps are finding refuge.
