Alev Lenz is truly cosmopolitain. The 26-year-old, who is half Turkish and half German, says she has an "oriental soul and an occidental mind". Currently she divides her time between Berlin, Istanbul and New York. Once the front woman of the rock band Alev, she's changed musical directions and become what she calls a "storytelling, piano playing Fräulein". We caught up with her in Los Angeles, where she was busy networking at Lion Feuchtwanger's famous artists' residence Villa Aurora.
