Moscow says most of the 1,700 Azov defenders that surrendered have been sent from Mariupol to a prison camp in Russia-controlled territory in eastern Ukraine. Kyiv hopes to get the soldiers back in a prisoner swap, but Moscow has threatened to put some of them on trial.
