Barsoum, Ghada

Ghada Barsoum is an assistant professor at the department of public policy and administration at The American University in Cairo (AUC) in Egypt. Her current research interests include youth inclusion, youth employment and access to social protection. Barsoum is the author of a book on the employment crisis of female graduates in Egypt. She has also authored a number of research papers in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to book chapters and published reports on issues related to migration, employment and microfinance. Barsoum obtained her Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Toronto in 2005 and her Master’s Degree from AUC in 1999.
