A full nine months after general elections, a new government has finally taken office in Belgium. The new Prime Minister, Yves Leterme, will lead a five party coalition... +++LM-REIN+++ ... forged after months of political wrangling. In-fighting between the Dutch- and French-speaking factions - caused largely by differences over devolving powers to the regions of Flanders and Wallonia- even led to speculation the country might split apart.
