Berlin ideas for a cooler world

We have a great aerial view of the city of Berlin from our perch at the Global Ideas office. And in the summer, we like to leave the building and take a closer look at the ways the city and its people are working to protect the climate. This week, we’re taking off on two wheels - on a bicycle, to be exact. Reporter Grit Hofmann introduces us to a Berliner bike activist who tells about the issues cyclists in Berlin face, what needs to change in the future and how the function of bikes in the city is starting to change. This summer, we’re getting to know Berlin’s climate movers and shakers who are helping to create a greener city.
