Big Cities, Big Dreams

The documentary series Big Cities, Big Dreams follows people who've left Germany for a long period of time - for an exchange program, for example, or mybe as guest professors, for love or simply out of a sense of adventure. The series also profiles Germans who've already lived abroad for several years, and provides an insight into the differences - both big and small - between daily life in Germany and in foreign locales. What are the advantages and problems associated with living such a long way from home? The films' protagonists open up new perspectives on life in metropolises such as New York, London, Moscow, Cape Town and Bangkok.
