My favorite job ever was selling vegetables in a London shop. There, I really loved talking to customers. A bit like journalism – listening to people, their needs and serving them as best as one can.

My personal hero:
The Composer in the Composition room of The Pioneer in Delhi who lived in one of the worst places in the city, earned a pittance, but always came to work on time, smartly dressed and did his job well; without a whimper of complaint or loss of focus.

What do I strive to be as a journalist?
A conversationalist.
