Blanket Data Monitoring? - US intelligence service spying on Germans

Media reports say the US National Security Agency collects data on some 500 million telephone calls, e-mails and text messages in Germany each month - a far more extensive program than originally thought. The Americans are allegedly working hand in hand with Britain. European Union offices have also reportedly been bugged.
