This summer we’re visiting eco-friendly initiatives in Berlin that help protect the climate and save resources. Next week, Global Ideas editor Ranty Islam gets to know a baker who sells crispy, hearty bread – even though she doesn’t actually do any baking. Instead, Vesta Heyn picks up the loaves that other bakeries discard and gives them a second life. Global Ideas visits her Berlin shop and discovers the secret behind why her day-old bread tastes so good.
