British-Spanish relations: caught between a rock and a hard place

Tensions have been hotting up in southern Spain over a British territory, perched just off the Spanish mainland. The territory, the rock of Gibraltar, has been British for 300 years and has often been the cause of friction between the two countries. Guy Hedgecoe sends this Postcard from Madrid.
