The musicians’ collective led by Hamburg producer Krisz Kreuzer mixes up blues with hip-hop, folk, dub and soul elements, calling the result “Urban Blues” – which is also the name of their debut album. Kreuzer named the band after the multicultural London district of Brixton, where he lived for several years. The ever-changing band members come from all over the world, including the United States and Africa. “Urban Blues” hit the top of the iTunes blues charts after it came out in September, 2009. And the LP was nominated for a German Record Critics’ Award.
