Barcelona marched in to the quarterfinals of the Champions League on Wednesday night with a commanding 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Camp Nou. Over the course of a two-legged tie, that ultimately finished 5-1 in favor of the Spanish champions, Arsene Wenger's side were well beaten by a team that looked unstoppable under the stewardship of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Indeed it was the tinkering Neymar who opened the scoring for his side on the night when a Suarez pass sent him through in a signature Barcelona counter attack. At half-time Luis Enrique's side went in to the break 3-0 up on aggregate and with a firm grasp on the next round of the European competition.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny evened the score in the second half, but it didn't take long before the home side regained their lead, this time through an exquisite volley from Suarez. To conclude the night for the Champions League title holders, it was none other than Messi who took advantage of a loose ball just minutes from full-time to compound further misery on Wenger's side.

Barcelona made short work of their Premier League opponents, now they go in search of worthy opponents in the latter stages of the Champions League.
