CL: Germany vs Spain twice over

The Champions League semifinals will see two German and two Spanish teams face off against each other in Europe's top soccer club competition.

Defending Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund will play at home against Real Madrid in the semifinal of the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League competition.

2012 finalists Bayern Munich will also play their first semifinal at home. They will come up against Barcelona. The two teams are ranked as Europe's best by football body UEFA.

Friday's draw featured four former European champions who have combined won 18 titles in the competition's 58-year history.

First-leg matches are on April 23 and 24. Return games are on April 30 and May 1.

Europa League draw

Before the Champions League fixtures were decided, the draw was also conducted for the Europa League semifinals. Chelsea will play Basel and Istanbul club Fenerbahce will face off against Benfica from Lisbon.

The first leg of Europa League semifinals will be played on April 25 with return games on May 2.
