Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Champions League on Tuesday night, despite the visitors taking a surprise lead through Fernando Torres.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker put Diego Simeone's side ahead with a smart finish past German international goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen after Koke played the Spaniard through on goal just 25 minutes in to the game.
Yet just 10 minutes later the striker was walking down the tunnel following two clumsy tackles and corresponding yellow cards, forcing his side to play close to 60 minutes of the match at the Nou Camp with only 10 men.
The one-man advantage turned momentum in Barcelona's favor and allowed the home side to regain a foothold in the second half. Despite some brave defending from the visitors it was Luis Suarez who stepped up to tap in a driven cross half-way through the second period.
Ten minutes later the Uruguayan striker completed his team's turnaround with a darting header past Jan Oblak in goals to give Barcelona a one-goal lead ahead of the second leg.
The slender advantage and vital away goal means Atletico have it all to play for at the Vicente Calderon next week yet the capital side will be without the now suspended Torres.
