In Chile itself, the death toll has now risen to over three hundred following Saturday's massive earthquake. And although the details are still far from clear, all the pointers are that the quake has dealt a huge blow to Chile's infrastructure with half a million homes and hundreds of roads reportedly seriously damaged.
